HISTORY In 1993 Heather and I went to Provincetown for a weekend and created a series of twenty-five paintings based on the Mona Lisa. The series was created at the home of Andrew Dickinson, and the project was funded by Jay Venti.
All the paintings are acrylic on stretched canvas, 24 x 36 inches. The stretchers are actual two-by-fours, so the paintings are quite heavy. While some were sold, most were given away to family and friends. Heather and I still have a couple of them.
DOCUMENTATION The images below were scanned from old photos I had taken of the paintings shortly after they were created. I’m not sure of the current owners or locations of most of these, if indeed they still exist. There are still three paintings from the series that I need to locate the photos of.
